Yuka is the child of Nara Silversky and Ezma. His conception was contrived by Ezma and the result of Nara and Sara Silversky's entrapment in his underworld empire.

As children Yuka and her cousin, Caspian, would explore the ruins near and underground where she found an ancient tomb and was able to make the magic in it work. Her mother, Nara, asked an old friend, Arwon, to take her into his school and have her trained as a wizard.

Her education went fairly normally for a wizard being training in the Arwonian College of the Art. The only real exception is that she postulated, proved and established a new school of magic, Chronurgy. She has established the school, documented every finding as it is new. As such, she is the speaker of Chronurgy from 0148 until perusing adventure to test, practically, the school and look for further evidence of what still remains undiscovered in 0182.
