Located within Marshal County in the dangerous Forsaken Demesne, Lucria is a massive, heavily fortified trade port and the imperial seat of the Demigod Emperor Bahamon.
The Founding and Architecture (Year 133 A.A.) Lucria was officially founded in 133 A.A. after Bahamon and his growing militia liberated a battered surface village from the brutal tyranny of a gnoll warband. Understanding that their ambitions were larger than a simple outpost, Bahamon appointed a brilliantly observant Tiefling street thief named "Fingers" as his Master Urban Planner, renaming him Yu. Yu insisted that they plan for exponential growth, meticulously designing the settlement from the ground up with defensible aqueducts and expansive trade districts to save effort later.
The Great Melting Pot Upon its completion, Bahamon magnanimously opened Lucria's massive wooden gates to absolutely anyone seeking refuge from the horrors of the Wilds. The city rapidly transformed into a vibrant, chaotic melting pot. The rescued surface citizens—a diverse mix of Humans, Elves, Aasimar, Tieflings, and half-bloods—merged gracefully with the subterranean people of Qiánlóng Dòng, forming the foundational population of the new empire.
The Economic Boom and The Dragon's Hoard Lucria's true transformation into an economic powerhouse occurred after a crisis in 144 A.A. An Ancient Blue Dragon named Storm-Caller blocked the central river trade, forcing heavy merchant barges laden with exotic goods to make a desperate stop at Lucria's docks. Because the young city lacked the vast wealth to purchase these luxury goods, Bahamon forged an alliance with Grand Marshal Caspian Silversky of the North to slay the beast.
Bahamon returned triumphant and incredibly rich, utilizing his massive share of the dragon's hoard to catapult his city into a golden age. By 147 A.A., Lucria had blossomed into a major, booming trade port.
Military Might and Politics Unlike the volunteer forces of the North, Lucria is defended by a highly disciplined, paid professional army. This military actively participates in the ongoing wars against the Demesne's threats, effectively paying for itself by bringing home a share of the spoils.
Politically, the empire is ruled by Emperor Bahamon and Queen Bailongnü (Galia Silversky). While Bahamon leads with overwhelming force and radiant fire, Bailongnü uses her Insightful Fighting and keen rogue instincts to navigate the treacherous, cutthroat politics of the Lucrian courts and the rigid demands of the Lucrian Council.
Current Status (Year 182 A.A.) In the early spring of 182 A.A., the quiet peace of the city was shattered when Emperor Bahamon felt the undeniable cosmic "Pull" toward the North. Preparing for a massive, unknown conflict, Bahamon and Bailongnü rode out of the city's heavy gates. In his absolute absence, Bahamon officially named his hardened, 36-year-old eldest son, Tianlong, as the ruling Regent of Lucria and Qiánlóng Dòng.
