The Capital City.
Port Caelum is a city built on two levels, defying gravity to facilitate trade.
At the water's level, it is a traditional, bustling maritime city. The deep-water harbor is crowded with ships from the Anishinabe Confederacy, Diblen (smugglers), and formerly Solaris. It smells of tar, fish, and exotic spices. The taverns here are the rowdiest in the kingdom, filled with foreign sailors telling tales of the outside world.
Hovering 100 feet directly above the harbor are massive, reinforced stone platforms, held aloft by permanent Levitate spells anchored to the cliffs. This is where the overland "Sky-Trains" arrive.
The Drop: The city's heartbeat is the "Drop." Cranes and specialized Transmuters gently lower tons of marble and grain from the Sky Docks directly into the open holds of the ships below. It is a delicate, magical ballet of heavy industry.
Overlooking it all is the Spire of the Song, the fortress-home of Countess Lyssandra. From here, she commands the Arwonian Navy—a small but elite fleet of fast, magically-reinforced cutters designed to hunt pirates from Rusthaven and spies from Oricon.
