Location: A massive, inactive volcano in the western "Wilds" of the Demesne. Type: A fortified Hive-City / Torture Chamber. Inhabitants: Gorgoshin, thousands of Kobolds, Lizardfolk, and Guard Drakes.
The volcano is extinct, but it is not cold. The heat of the earth has been replaced by the heat of decomposition and chemical reaction. The air surrounding the mountain is a yellow-green smog that smells of ozone and rotting vegetation.
The Caldera: The top of the mountain has collapsed inward, forming a massive, bowl-shaped depression. It is filled not with water, but with a Lake of Acid. This lake acts as a moat for the inner sanctum.
The Lightning Rods: Gorgoshin has used his stolen Blue Dragon powers to modify the peaks. Massive, jagged spires of conductive iron (scavenged from ruins) pierce the rim of the caldera. They draw lightning from the perpetual storms, channeling it down into the acid lake, making the moat electrified.
Beneath the caldera, the mountain is honeycombed with tunnels carved by generations of slave labor.
The Warrens: The upper levels are the "city" for his servants. Thousands of Kobolds (specifically acid-scarred or blue-scaled variants) live here in a fanatic, terrified theocracy worshiping Gorgoshin. They trap the surrounding jungle to feed him.
The "Gallery": This is Gorgoshin’s pride. It is a vast, damp cavern where he keeps his "prizes." It is a prison of cages hanging over pits of acid. Here, captured heroes, rival clan leaders, or Aasimar descendants are kept alive for decades, slowly drained of their "essence" to fuel Gorgoshin’s vitality.
Gorgoshin rests at the very bottom of the volcanic throat. It is a damp, dark cathedral of stone.
The Hoard: His gold lies at the bottom of deep, clear pools of acid. To steal it, one must burn.
The Defense: If threatened, Gorgoshin can submerge in the acid (immune) or fly up to the lightning rods, channeling the storm through the mountain's interior to fry intruders.
Base: Ancient Black Dragon (Great Wyrm). Absorbed Power: Blue Dragon (Lightning).
Lore: Gorgoshin is the embodiment of cruelty. He does not just kill; he deconstructs lives. If an adventurer attacks him and flees, Gorgoshin does not chase them immediately. He tracks them. He finds their village. He destroys their home, their family, and everything they love first. Then he catches them. He captures his victims alive to "drain them of their essence," adding their vitality to his own in a slow, agonizing ritual.
Powers:
The Dual Breath: He possesses the Line of Acid (Black) and the Line of Lightning (stolen from the Blue Dragons he consumed).
Sadism: He prioritizes psychological torture over efficiency. He uses his terrain control to turn forests into swamps or freeze rivers to block escapes.
