Ward-Light is a village of towers. Almost every house has a small wooden crow's nest on the roof. The village is centered around a massive stone tower that houses a "Scry-Mirror" linked to Fort Aedan. When the magical wards at the Underdark entrance are tripped, the sky above the village erupts in colorful sparks, alerting the Gap for miles. This village sits 12 miles south of the "Redemption Exit" (where Aedan and his party emerged). It was founded specifically to capitalize on the fireworks wards.

Historically, the village was a small camp for Lord Aedan’s mages until Y145, when the families of the soldiers began to settle permanently. It has become a vital safety net for the central Gap; merchants often wait at Ward-Light until they have a "Clear Signal" before pushing further south toward Vark's Hold.
