The capital is not a traditional city; it is a Fortress-Factory built inside the dormant caldera of the largest volcano, Mount Cinder.
The Architecture: The buildings are made of magically-reinforced obsidian and iron. Bridges of adamantine span open magma flows.
The Magma Guard: The volcanoes are home to Fire Elementals, Salamanders, and Magmin. Count Ignis maintains an elite force of Fire Genasi and Forge Clerics called the "Magma Guard." Their job is to keep the "fuel" inside the vents and prevent the elemental wildlife from burning down the kingdom.
The Great Smelter: This is the heart of the city. Massive binding circles capture the raw heat of the earth to power steam-driven crushers and magical bellows. The "Sky-Trains" drop raw ore from the west, and the Citadel turns it into pure ingots.
