Located deep beneath the surface near the Platinum Empire of Lucria, Qiánlóng Dòng is a massive, sprawling subterranean refuge that served as the foundational cradle for Emperor Bahamon's people.
The Founding and The Village Chief Qiánlóng Dòng (translated as "The Hidden Dragon Cave") was physically burrowed out of the living bedrock by the High God Bahamut. Acting as the village chief in a humble human guise, the Platinum Dragon gathered terrified, broken survivors fleeing the relentless horrors of the surface world's Forsaken Demesne and offered them an impenetrable, underground sanctuary.
The Clockwork Society To ensure the survival of his people in the harsh subterranean environment, Bahamut forged a society that was utterly and perfectly lawful, operating with the precision of clockwork. Everyone within the cave, from the lowest mushroom-harvester to the highest guard, was assigned a specific, vital duty. In this society, the individual ego was completely subservient to the whole; when a person's societal duty changed, their very identity and name were officially changed by the ruler to match their new purpose (such as Bahamut's consort being renamed Longmu, and her sister renamed Ao Run).
The Era of Hardship Despite the absolute safety of the caves, the early decades were marked by brutal, grinding poverty. Because living underground completely blocked access to warm sunlight, farming, and the rearing of herd animals, the population subsisted meagerly on pale fungi and blind cave fish. This stark reality eventually sparked a fierce ideological divide between Bahamut, who believed the cave was a necessary crucible to forge his son Bahamon into a cosmic savior, and Longmu, who desperately wanted to lead their people to the surface to truly live.
The Surface Exodus and Modern Industry Following Bahamut's departure, Longmu briefly ruled as Regent before a coming-of-age Bahamon officially took control. Realizing his mother was right about the need for resources, Bahamon led the momentous military exodus to the surface in 133 A.A., ultimately founding the city of Lucria.
However, Qiánlóng Dòng was not abandoned. The subterranean citizens had developed a highly valuable silk production industry in the caves, and a dedicated contingent remained below to keep the caverns running and maintain this vital resource for surface trade. As Lucria boomed with the influx of dragon-hoard gold, Qiánlóng Dòng grew and prospered alongside it.
Current Status (Year 182 A.A.) Today, the subterranean city remains closely tied to the surface empire. With Emperor Bahamon and Queen Bailongnü currently riding North to face a new cosmic threat, Qiánlóng Dòng is safely governed by their 36-year-old eldest son, Tianlong, who sits as the ruling Regent of both the surface empire and the hidden caves below.
