Name: Corellon Larethian
Pantheon: The Core Pantheon (also, The Seldarine)
Titles & Aliases: Creator of the Elves, The Protector, The Fey-Father, Lord of the Seldarine
Gender / Form: Famously androgynous and both/neither male nor female. Corellon is the very picture of elven beauty, which is beyond mortal gender. Appears as a fluid, graceful, and impossibly beautiful elven warrior/artist.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Status: God (Reports to Eisana, Major God of Wizardry)
Divine Realm: Arvandor's Glade
Primary Domains: Elves, Art, Magic, Beauty, Freedom
Portfolio: Elves, elven magic (especially "high magic"), art, poetry, beauty, and freedom.
Cleric Domains (5e): Arcana & Light
Holy Symbol: A quarter moon or a starburst.
Favored Weapon: Longsword (especially a "Bladesinger" style sword)
Favored Colors: Silver, blue, and white.
Sacred Animals / Plants: The unicorn and the white-barked tree.
Core Dogma (The Philosophy): "The world is a canvas, and you are the art. Be chaotic, be beautiful, and be free. Magic is not a tool; it is an expression. Art is not a hobby; it is life. Protect the elven people, for they are my greatest creation, and stand always against the darkness of the Spider-Queen, for she is my greatest shame."
Tenets for Followers (The "Thou Shalt"s):
"Create beauty. Write a poem, sing a song, or practice the sword-dance."
"Embrace magic. It is the blood of the elves."
"Defend your freedom and the freedom of all elven-kind."
"Be ever-vigilant against the drow and the darkness of Lolth."
Sins & Taboos (The "Thou Shalt Not"s):
"To create something ugly on purpose."
"To betray the elven people or to side with Lolth."
"To be stagnant, boring, or to refuse to learn."
"To show "kindness" or "mercy" to a drow-priestess."
Superiors: Eisana (Major God). This is a formal, but respectful, relationship. Corellon is the creator of elven magic, but Eisana is the manager of all "Wizardry" for Arcus. Corellon, as a Chaotic Good being, respects Eisana's Neutral, community-focused approach and her skill, and is happy to "manage" his own people (the elves) while "reporting" to her on the "state of magic."
Subordinates: None (God tier).
Counterparts:
Lolth (Goddess of Drow): His hated ex-consort and the source of all his people's suffering. The "War against Lolth" is his primary drive.
Saraheniel (God): A close ally. Corellon is the "art" of elven magic; Saraheniel is the "law" and "science" of it.
Mortals: Worshipped by all non-drow elves as their creator-god. He is also the patron of all artists, poets, and bards.
Demigod Offspring:
Corella (Arcana)
Name of the Church: The Seldarine (the "brotherhood of elves"), The Church of the Starburst.
Worshipper Base: Elves, half-elves, bards, artists, and bladesingers.
Clergy Structure: A very loose, "chaotic" structure. Priests are chosen for their wisdom, artistic skill, or magical power, not for a formal title.
Temple Description: Temples are always beautiful, seamless blends of nature and architecture. Open-air groves, crystal spires, and "living" wood structures.
Holy Days:
"The Star-Gazing": A holy night of meditation and art, held on the clearest night of the year, to "commune" with the "starburst" symbol.
The First War: The core elven myth. The story of Corellon's love for, and betrayal by, Lolth, which led to the creation of the drow and the "Sundering" of the elven people.Â
