Name: Eillainki
Pantheon: The Core Pantheon
Titles & Aliases: The Vicious Archer, The Longing God, Lord of Abundance
Gender / Form: Masculine. Eillainki's mortal followers are often shocked by his divine form, which is unsettlingly beautiful, resembling the demon prince Graz'zt. He has dark, alabaster-smooth skin, six-fingered hands, and an aura of primal, longing passion.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Status: God (Reports to Thasa, Major God of Animals & Balance)
Divine Realm: Khrēstos (The Vicious Abundance)
Primary Domains: Abundance, Tactics, Longing, Archers
Portfolio: Archers, strategists, and those who feel a deep, abiding longing for a person, place, or ideal. He is the patron of viciously protecting what you love.
Cleric Domains (5e): Life & Light
Holy Symbol: A simple, unadorned short bow, held vertically.
Favored Weapon: Shortbow
Favored Colors: Dark purple, silver, and blood red.
Sacred Animals / Plants: The hawk (for its keen eye) and the willow (for its longing, weeping form).
Core Dogma (The Philosophy): "To live is to long. This ache in your heart—for a lost love, for a far-off home, for a better world—is not a weakness. It is your focus. Let it be the string of your bow. Aim it, and with all your tactical skill, with all your vicious passion, protect what you love. Abundance is not what you have; it is the result of successfully defending what you hold dear."
Tenets for Followers (The "Thou Shalt"s):
"Identify your 'longing.' What do you love? What would you die for?"
"Be the protector. A simple archer can hold back an army to protect his home."
"Be smart. Passion is useless without tactics. A well-placed arrow is worth a thousand spears."
"Embrace the ache. Longing is not despair; it is the fuel for greatness."
Sins & Taboos (The "Thou Shalt Not"s):
"To give in to despair and stop fighting for what you love."
"To fight without a plan, wasting your passion on foolishness."
"To have no longing, no passion, no core. To be a "broken bow.""
"To harm what another follower loves. We are all bound by our longing."
Superiors: Thasa (Major God). Thasa is the "Hunter," and Eillainki is her "Archer." He is the tactical and passionate side of her "balance" portfolio. While Thasa is the primal hunt, he is the reason for the hunt: to protect and provide for the "abundance" of the community.
Subordinates: None (God tier).
Counterparts:
Thasa's other "passion" gods (Eisa, Noi): Eillainki is the "Good" aligned, "longing" aspect of passion, a stark contrast to his more neutral or chaotic counterparts.
Mortals: Worshipped by rangers, archers, exiles, and all who have a "lost love" or a "far-off goal" that drives them. His unsettling form makes his faith a mystery to many, but his followers are intensely loyal.
Demigod Offspring:
Aillan (Life)
Ilivarra Xukuth'd Faer (Light)
Name of the Church: The Order of the Taut String, The Longing Watch.
Worshipper Base: Archers, rangers, soldiers (especially strategists), and the love-lorn.
Clergy Structure: A loose order, more like a collection of "bands" or "companies" of archers. Priests are "Watch-Captains" or "Keepers of the Longing."
Temple Description: His "temples" are archery ranges, lonely watchtowers, or willow groves. Shrines often have a target at their center, as "aiming" is a form of prayer.
Holy Days:
The Day of the Longing: A personal, private holiday for each follower, on the anniversary of the day they "found their longing" (e.g., met their true love, lost their home).
The Volley: A festival where all archers gather to compete, firing thousands of arrows at a single, massive target to symbolize "unity of purpose."
The Lover's Defense: The core myth. It tells of Eillainki in his mortal life, longing for a lost love. He became a master archer and a brilliant tactician, not for war, but to "viciously" protect his small village, hoping his love would one day return. This act of "Chaotic Good" defense, fueled by "Longing," is his central parable.
