Name: Zaketrin
Pantheon: The Core Pantheon (Ascended PC)
Titles & Aliases: Goddess of Exploration, The Adventuring-Heart, The Golden-Fostered, The Curious-One
Gender / Form: Feminine. Zaketrin was once a "good-aligned drow," but her ascension has settled her into the form of a "dark-skinned elf" (to honor her "past" self) whose eyes "invite curiosity." She is beautiful and "warm," radiating a "love" of "adventure" and "connection."
Alignment: Neutral Good
Status: God (Reports to Eisana, Major God of Wizardry)
Divine Realm: Terra Incognita (The Undiscovered Horizon)
Primary Domains: Exploration, Magic (the "feeling" of it), Lore, Adventure
Portfolio: Adventurers, explorers, story-tellers, and the "magic" of a "sunset" or a "new love." She is the patron of "reformation" (from evil to good) through "adventure."
Cleric Domains (5e): Arcana & Twilight
Holy Symbol: The face of an ancient, kind, golden dragon (honoring her "foster-father").
Favored Weapon: Scimitar (an "adventurer's" weapon)
Favored Colors: Gold, twilight-purple, and "sunset" orange.
Sacred Animals / Plants: The gold dragon and the "traveler's-moss."
Core Dogma (The Philosophy): "The magic is in the sharing. True magic is in the heart. It is the "feeling" of a new adventure, the "lore" of a lost tomb, the "spark" of a shared story with a new friend. Do not "study" the world; explore it. Live. Love. Lose. It is all worth doing. An evil heart can be "reformed" not by "law," but by a "good adventure." Go, see, and feel."
Tenets for Followers (The "Thou Shalt"s):
"Adventure. A "life" lived in one "place" is a "life" not lived."
"Explore. The "map" is never finished."
"Feel. Magic is the passion in your heart for a new, shared experience. Use that passion."
"Believe in reformation. The greatest "adventure" is changing an "evil" heart (even your own) to "good.""
"Share the experience. A "connection" with another—a lover, a friend, a child, a stranger—is the most potent magic."
Sins & Taboos (The "Thou Shalt Not"s):
"To be "bored." This is the only "true" sin."
"To "stay home" when the "heart" "calls" "you" "to" "adventure.""
"To "hoard" lore. Lore is a "story," and "stories" must be told."
"To believe that "evil" cannot be "reformed."
Superiors: Eisana (Major God). This is a fascinating, "inverted" relationship. In life, Eisana was a "Theurgist-Priest" of Zaketrin. But in the 5e "reboot," Anushirvan "promoted" Eisana to Major God and slotted Zaketrin under her. They are both "Neutral-aligned" PC-Gods, and they have an immense mutual respect. Zaketrin is "proud" of her former "follower," and Eisana "defers" to Zaketrin's "wisdom" on "matters of the heart" and "adventure."
Subordinates: None (God tier).
Counterparts:
Noi (God): Her "passion" counterpart. Noi's domain is the "magic" of carnal pleasure (Chaotic Neutral). Zaketrin's is the "magic" of experiential pleasure and connection (Neutral Good).
Mortals: Worshipped by all "good" adventurers, explorers, and "reformed" evil-doers.
Demigod Offspring:
Acacias Thornton (Twilight)
Name of the Church: The Golden-Seekers, The Adventurer's-Heart.
Worshipper Base: Adventurers, explorers, cartographers, story-tellers, and "good-aligned" romantics.
Clergy Structure: A "Neutral Good" "Adventuring-Party." Priests are "Scouts," "Guides," or "Story-tellers."
Temple Description: "Temples" are "Adventurer's-Guilds," "Explorer's-Lodges," or "crossroads-inns" where "all stories are shared."
Holy Days:
"The Day of the Foster-Dragon": A day of "telling stories" to "honor the past" (named for her dragon-father).
"The New-Heart": A holiday celebrating any "reformation," where a "villain" became a "hero."
The Drow-Reformed: The core myth. Zaketrin was a drow, but she "adventured" her way out of "evil." Her entire faith is based on this "reformation," proving that "lore," "adventure," and "passion" can change your "alignment."
The Magic of Connection: It is taught that true magic is not just arcane or divine, but exists in all shared mortal experiences. This "Mortal magic" of shared experience is what she governs, and it is the true source of all exploration and reformation.
